BTS's "Fake Love" MV Sets New Record As It Reaches 40 Million Views Milestone
BTS has reached another milestone in record time with their latest comeback music video.
“Fake Love” is the title track from BTS’s third studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” and the music video was released on May 18 at 6 p.m. KST. The MV hit 10 million views 4 hours and 56 minutes after its release, 20 million views 8 hours and 56 minutes after its release, and 30 million views 16 hours and 39 minutes after its release.
As of 5:24 p.m. KST on May 19, “Fake Love” has surpassed the 40 million views milestone in approximately 23 hours and 24 minutes after its release. This means that BTS has broken their own record for the fastest K-pop group MV to reach 40 million views, with their previous record being just over 3 days and 15 hours for “DNA.”
The record set by “Fake Love” may be the fastest time to 40 million views for any artist’s MV on YouTube, though there are a lack of official sources to confirm this.
