CROSS GENE's Shin Explains His Neck Brace At "Music Bank" And Current Health Condition
CROSS GENE’s Shin (Shin Won Ho) has reassured fans that he has almost fully recovered from a recent injury.
The group made a comeback earlier this month on May 8 with title tracks “Touch It” and “Fly” from their fifth mini album “ZERO.” In a recent interview with YTN Star, they discussed their promotions as well as Shin’s health.
Shin was first spotted with a neck brace on the way to KBS2’s “Music Bank.” He explained, “It was our first pre-recording for a music show this comeback. Maybe it was because my body was subconsciously tense out of nervousness because it’s been awhile, but my shoulder made a loud popping sound as soon as I raised my arm. I couldn’t move my neck so I went to the hospital right away.”
As it turns out, Shin had a torn muscle. “It’s become a lot better,” the CROSS GENE leader reassured. “It’s about 80 percent healed.”
He also shared how his injury had been a blessing in disguise, saying, “I had an MRI scan, and my [torn muscle] wasn’t bad. However, I learned about a couple other issues through the scan. Thankfully, I found out about my herniated cervical disc and dislocated shoulder.”
The other members commented, “We don’t know if it’s because we’re jinxed, but one of our members always becomes injured or sick when we’re promoting an album. We always take care of each other when someone is sick since we’re living in a dorm together.”
CROSS GENE will be continuing their promotions for their mini album “ZERO.” Shin has also been casted in MBC’s new drama “Life-and-Death Romance” (literal title).
We hope Shin makes a complete recovery soon!
