Fantagio Music Updates Fans On ASTRO's Future Plans

Fantagio Music has made an announcement regarding the future plans of ASTRO.

On May 25, Fantagio Music posted a notice on ASTRO’s fan cafe. The statement reads as follows:

“Hello. This is Fantagio Music.

“First, we want to apologize for causing concern to many fans who love ASTRO with recent events.

“We cherish and respect each and every artist of Fantagio Music.

“Fantagio Music will heavily invest in our artists who are the owners of our company.

“We will also not hold back with our support for the individual promotions of our artists.

“ASTRO is busy spending their days preparing for their new album and solo concert.

“ASTRO members and Fantagio employees will try our best to come to you with a better album and performance in order to repay all of you for your support and encouragement.

“Please look forward to ASTRO who is working hard to prepare with the mindset of rebuilding their foundation.

“We will continue to work hard in the future to communicate with fans.

“Thank you.”

The statement appears to be in response to many fans’ concerns after reports of a possible delay in ASTRO’s comeback due to recent events at the agency.

Fantagio recently made headlines when the agency’s CEO was fired and replaced after Chinese company JC Group became its largest shareholder. While JC Group’s Wei Jie took over as the sole CEO of Fantagio, the CEO of Fantagio Music was also dismissed, and Wei Jie’s secretary has taken their position. Fantagio was recently removed from the Korea Entertainment Management Association on May 25 for failing to meet membership requirements following the firing of the agency’s CEO. Fantagio has asserted that artists under Fantagio and Fantagio Music are continuing activities as normal despite the situation.
