Watch: EXO's Kai And Kim Jae Kyung Pay Homage To "La La Land" In Cute Dance Number On "The Miracle We Met"
EXO’s Kai and former Rainbow member Kim Jae Kyung put on their dancing shoes for the finale of KBS’s “The Miracle We Met”!
The final episode of the drama, which ended earlier this week, had an unexpected surprise in store for its viewers. Towards the end of the episode, the show caught viewers off guard with a special dance scene between the blundering god Ato (played by Kai) and the shape-shifting god Mao. Although Mao was most often played by HALO’s Jaeyong during the drama, the god took on a female form (played by Kim Jae Kyung) in order to pay homage to the hit 2016 film “La La Land.”
On May 31, KBS posted a clip of the scene on Twitter and explained the reason for its creation in a playful message: “The writer wanted to boast to the world that Ato is a good dancer.”
The scene starts out with Ato happily informing Mao (who appears in his male form) that he has successfully fixed his errors and that all is well in the human world. Mao suggests that they celebrate before leaving, to which Ato responds skeptically, “In what form?”
Kai and Kim Jae Kyung then show off their dancing skills in a romantic nighttime scene that takes them to a park, an aquarium, and even a merry-go-round.
