Im Soo Hyang Gets In Tune With Her College Beauty Character For Upcoming JTBC Drama

JTBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” (literal title) released the first stills of actress Im Soo Hyang as her character Kang Mi Rae.

Based on a popular webtoon, “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” will tell the story of a woman named Kang Mi Rae who gets plastic surgery in hopes of a new life after getting teased for her unattractive looks since she was young. She learns about true beauty in college when she experiences a different campus life than the one she imagined.

In the stills, Im Soo Hyang perfectly turned into chemistry goddess Kang Mi Rae who became beautiful after her transformation. She is wearing a simple denim shirt and a light yellow and green-colored cardigan and is holding onto the straps of her backpack. Her hair style isn’t anything fancy, and she is wearing light make up. Judging from her expression of anticipation, she seems to be enjoying the charm of a peaceful and lovely future.

The production crew stated, “Ever since the first shooting that took place on campus, Im Soo Hyang was the character of Kang Mi Rae. We have no doubt that the viewers will fall for the honest and lovely charms of Kang Mi Rae. Please look forward to the fresh and cute transformation of Im Soo Hyang in ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’.”

“My ID is Gangnam Beauty” will air in July as the follow-up drama to “Sketch.”
