Super Junior Reunites With A Fan They Met In 2012 At KCON 2018 NY

Super Junior met their fan Donika Sterling for the second time!

Super Junior’s Choi Siwon and Yesung recently posted photos of the group with Donika Sterling backstage at KCON 2018 NY and also shared a throwback photo from their first meeting.

They first met in 2012 when the fan traveled to South Korea to meet her favorite SM Entertainment idols Super Junior and SHINee thanks to the help of Herbert Black, the president of American Iron and Metal Company. Donika Sterling has been wheelchair-bound since she was a child due to Charcot-Marie-Tooth, an incurable degenerative disease that affects the nerves that control muscles.

Notably her favorite member, Choi Siwon wrote in English, “Reunion. Our friend across the border. Music has no barriers. I hope we keep continue to build our friendship. Good to see you again my friend,” and also joked about his 2012 hairstyle.

Yesung said, “2012…2018 ^^ Thank you always Donika,” and added a blue heart to signify the group’s official color, pearl sapphire blue.
