SHINee's Minho Shares Reason Why His Dad Was Against Him Becoming A Soccer Player

On the June 25 episode of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” SHINee’s Minho revealed the reason why he gave up his dream of becoming a soccer player.

Minho is known for his competitive spirit and professional-like soccer skills. His father Choi Yoon Gyeom is also the coach who leads Busan IPark, a professional soccer team from Busan.

Yet, despite all the qualifications and advantages to become a professional soccer player, Minho was unable to become one. The idol shared, “My father told me to get out of the house if I was going to continue to play soccer. Later on, I asked him why he was so against it. He said, ‘I would’ve let you play if you were [as good as] Son Heung Min, but you weren’t that good.’ In my father’s eyes, I wasn’t good enough.”

Fans, however, must be glad he pursued a different dream!
