MOMOLAND Talks About How Things Have Changed Since The Success Of "BBoom BBoom"

MOMOLAND recently held a comeback showcase for their fourth mini album “Fun to the World.”

The group started off their showcase with “Welcome to MOMOLAND” and also performed their debut track “JJan! Koong! Kwang!” Afterwards, Hyebin shared her thoughts on their comeback by saying, “I’m so excited. Many people have been waiting for us, so I’m also excited to see if we met their expectations.”They then talked about their reality show “MOMOLAND in Saipan.” Hyebin shared, “We went to Saipan to film our Japanese music video. You can see our real selves on our reality show on Mondays.” When asked who was the funniest when filming the show, JooE answered, “I’m the type that is outright funny. Jane and Hyebin are funny too.” Hyebin added, “I’m the kind of person that wants to be really funny.”

MOMOLAND then answered some of the questions that their fans had for them. They first talked about how things had changed since the success of “BBoom BBoom.” They shared, “Our water dispenser, television, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and laundry machine was really worn at our dorm. We also didn’t have cell phones. We recently changed it all, and it feels like we’re in someone else’s house. We also got cell phones after winning No. 1.”

They were then asked which genre they wanted to show musically, and they replied, “The nine of us have really nice voices. We’ve only done pretty ballads, so we want to do sad ballads too.” Jane added, “I have a lot of friends who do hip hop, so I want to try hip hop, too.”On their new song “BAAM,” Hyebin commented, “I was surprised when I heard it was called ‘BAAM.’ We listened to it while on the highway to an event, and it was exciting.”

She also expressed her love for their fans and shared, “Before I go to sleep, I go into our fan cafe and read all the comments our fans write. I forgot our official ID, so I go in with my personal ID.”

The members were asked if there was a time when it was difficult. JooE explained, “Jane is the one who gets sick the most. She always seems to get sick whenever we rest.” She added, “When we shoot for a long time for broadcasts, I have to keep smiling, so my cheeks hurt.”

Yeonwoo continued, “It’s okay for it to get more difficult for us. The more difficult it is, the more energy we have.”
