Jang Ki Yong Shares His Thoughts About His "Come And Hug Me" Co-Star Jin Ki Joo
During a recent interview for the thriller romance “Come and Hug Me,” Jang Ki Yong talked about his co-star Jin Ki Joo.
“Come and Hug Me” tells the story of a police detective named Chae Do Jin (Jang Ki Yong) whose father is the psychopathic serial killer Yoon Hee Jae (Heo Joon Ho), and a woman named Han Jae Yi (Jin Ki Joo), who is the daughter of the psychopath’s victims.
Jang Ki Yong said, “As I said during the press conference, this has been a very precious opportunity. I have a big desire to do well. In the drama, I am able to naturally immerse myself in the filming because of the pain Do Jin and Jae Yi feel for each other. It’s that sad.”
Then he shared, “I always had to act out emotional scenes in the early hours of the morning, which was why I had a hard time. During those moments, Jin Ki Joo and I depended on each other while filming. Our bodies were tired, but we relied on each other to immerse in our characters.”
When questioned about the comparisons of acting with IU and Jin Ki Joo, Jang Ki Yong explained, “First off, both actresses are charming. IU gave off a good energy while acting. Jin Ki Joo is an actress with a bright energy. I found myself naturally immersing [into my role] while acting with her. Both of them have different charms, and I personally like both of them.”
“Come and Hug Me” airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. KST.
