Watch: "Along With the Gods 2" Teases Audience With Mysterious Plot Line In Main Trailer

“Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days” has dropped its main trailer!

After the success of the first movie of this two part series, titled “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds,” the second film, “Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days,” prepares to become this summer’s hit film with the main trailer.

The film will explore how three grim reapers try to guide their 49th soul to the underworld with the promise of reincarnation. They meet Sung Joo Shin (Ma Dong Seok), who knows of their past from 1000 years ago. Through their meeting where they teeter on the edge of the past, the present world, and the afterlife, the connections between their long-forgotten secrets come to light.

In the trailer, Kang Rim (Ha Jung Woo) tries to push ahead with a trial that seems impossible in order to uncover the truth that is entangled with Soo Hong (Kim Dong Wook)’s death. Hae Won Maek (Joo Ji Hoon) and Duk Choon (Kim Hyang Gi) try to find out their forgotten pasts after meeting Sung Joo Shin, who came to know of their pasts after going back to earth by the order of Yeom Ra (Lee Jung Jae). The grim reapers of the past life slowly begin to show the veiled stories of their lives.

In addition, although Sung Joo Shin is demoted in hell for being a great nuisance, he tries to do his best for a human he must protect, making the film more exciting as he reveals to the grim reapers that he was the grim reaper to bring their past human selves to hell.

“Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days” will be released in South Korean theaters on August 1.
