"My ID Is Gangnam Beauty" Releases Behind-The-Scene Images From Photoshoot
With nine days left until the premiere of “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” behind-the-scene images from the poster shoot have been released.
“My ID is Gangnam Beauty” tells the story of a young woman who decides to change her life through plastic surgery after being teased about her looks from an early age. She enters college, but she realizes that the campus life she had been dreaming of is drastically different from what she had imagined, and she is forced to search for the true meaning of beauty.
On June 14, the cast of the drama transformed into their characters with different charms for the poster photoshoot. Kang Mi Rae (Im Soo Hyang) is a pretty freshmen who is both timid and sweet. Do Kyung Suk (ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo), a cold “tsundere” (cold on the outside, warm on the inside) has contrasting charms with his heaven-level good looks and ground-level personality. Hyun Soo Ah (Jo Woo Ri) is the idol of the chemistry department and is willing to do anything to be loved. Yeon Woo Young (Kwak Dong Yeon) is a honest, gentle man who dreams of youth.
As the set moved from shooting for individual to group photos, the actors had careful consideration for the concept, wardrobe, and even the props in order to have a smooth shooting experience. They also laughed constantly on set from start to finish. As the actors are of similar age, they seemed like real college classmates as they took selfies in between shooting and showed off their great chemistry.
A source said, “Regardless of the heat, the actors are shooting for the drama as if they’ve really become college upperclassmen. It’s a cheerful set that beats the heat. We hope many viewers will look forward to the premiere.”
“My ID Is Gangnam Beauty” premieres on July 27 at 11 p.m. KST.
