Kim Ki Doo Opens Up About Working With D.O. And Attending EXO's Recent Concert

Actor Kim Ki Doo recently sat down for an interview and opened up about his experience working with EXO’s D.O.!

Kim Ki Doo’s next project will be tvN’s “Dear Husband of 100 Days” (literal translation). The drama will be the follow-up to “Let’s Eat 3” and Kim Ki Doo will play the role of Seo Goo Dol, who is close friends with D.O.’s Won Deuk.

The actor stated, “D.O. plays the role of a crown prince Lee Yool, who suffers from memory loss and becomes Won Deuk. Because of his memory loss, he forgets that he is a crown prince and lives amongst regular citizens. Seo Goo Dol takes Won Deuk under his wing and they become close friends.”

Kim Ki Doo had nothing but good things to say about D.O. as he added, “We’ve become pretty close. D.O. has a certain charm that is unique to him, and when I first met him, I felt that he was such a well-mannered and good person. He didn’t feel like an idol to me. To be honest, the thought that he was a singer didn’t cross my mind at all while we were filming the drama.”

However, Kim Ki Doo confessed that his perspective of D.O. changed when he was invited to EXO’s recent concert. He said, “I always knew that D.O. was a member of EXO, but when we’re acting, he’s just actor Do Kyung Soo. He just felt like a regular, good kid I know.” He laughed as he added, “But when I went to EXO’s concert, I realized he’s actually someone who is far beyond my reach.”

Kim Ki Doo explained, “He was really amazing. He has this aura that is amazing. Seeing him on stage made me realize just how much weight he probably carries on his shoulders as both an actor and as a singer. He probably feels like he has to be good at everything. I’m happy to have gotten to know such a good person, and I hope I can be someone who gives him strength.”
