Lee Soo Man, Park Jin Young, And Yang Hyun Suk's Company Stock Values Continue To Show Strong Performance
Lee Soo Man, Park Jin Young, and Yang Hyun Suk are among the celebrities with the highest-valued shares in their companies.
On July 29, chaebul.com released a list of celebrities with the highest-valued shares of stock in their respective companies. The increases in stock values is all the more impressive given the lower numbers in KOSPI and KOSDAQ within the same period.
Lee Soo Man maintained his spot in first place with his shares in SM Entertainment. His stock value saw an increase of 25.76 billion won (approximately $23 million), which was a 16.7 percent increase, while his total stock value came out to 179.71 billion won (approximately $161 million).
Park Jin Young took second place with his shares in JYP Entertainment, venturing into the Top 2 spots which had long been held by Lee Soo Man and Yang Hyun Suk, thanks to the particularly high performance of his company’s stock value. Park Jin Young’s stock value increased by 58.46 billion won ($52.4 million), with the total of his shares valued at 135.37 billion won (approximately $121.3 million). The company’s stock price saw an increase of 76 percent from 13,750 won (approximately $12.32) to 24,200 won (approximately $21.68).
Yang Hyun Suk placed third on the list with his shares in YG Entertainment valued at 123.33 billion won (approximately $110.3 million), which was a 23.7 percent increase of 23.65 billion won (approximately $21.2 million) from last year.
Bae Young Joon, formerly the largest share holder in KeyEast Entertainment before the company was acquired by SM Entertainment, took sixth place. The value of his stocks saw a 14.4 percent decline of 6.56 billion won (approximately $5.9 million). He previously held 25.11 percent of KeyEast Entertainment’s shares, and currently holds 4.03 percent of SM Entertainment’s shares.
Han Sung Ho took seventh place with his shares in FNC Entertainment. His stock value decreased by 4.4 percent, to a total value of 26.07 billion won (approximately $23.3 million).
