“Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days” continues to soar as it breaks new records!
According to data compiled by the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the second installment of the “Along with the Gods” series had attracted 5,409,817 moviegoers by 00:12 a.m. KST on August 5. On August 4 alone, 1,466,416 people went to see the film, setting a new record for the most moviegoers for a film in a single day. The previous record had been set by “Avengers: Infinity War” with 1,333,310 moviegoers.

The film achieved the feat in just five days, which is two days quicker than its predecessor and one day quicker than “The Admiral: Roaring Currents,” Korea’s biggest box office film to date.
To celebrate the achievement, cast members Ha Jung Woo, Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Jung Jae, and director Kim Yong Hwa posted a photo of them holding balloons that spell out “500.” With the film breaking records with every new milestone it reaches, anticipation is high to see how well the film continues to do.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days”!
