Go Hyun Jung Faces Lawsuit With Advertiser Following "Return" Departure
Actress Go Hyun Jung is currently facing a lawsuit with an advertising company.
One health food company filed a damage suit against Go Hyun Jung, who used to be the company’s spokesmodel, and the lawsuit is currently underway.
This lawsuit can be seen as an aftermath to Go Hyun Jung’s sudden departure from SBS’s drama “Return” back in February. She had taken on the lead actress role of Choi Ja Hye, but after a “significant level of conflict” with producing director Joo Dong Min and allegations of physical assault, she left the show.
Go Hyun Jung previously commented on the controversy during a press event for the film “Winter Guest Scarier Than A Tiger” (literal title) in April and said, “After going through a series of events, I thought that I should self-reflect a lot.”
After this, Go Hyun Jung, who had previously been in seclusion, was thrust back in the spotlight with the advertiser’s lawsuit. Fearing damage to their image, the health food company terminated her contract and filed a damage suit against her.
Go Hyun Jung’s agency IOK Company carefully stated, “It is true that Go Hyun Jung is currently facing a lawsuit. We do not have anything more to say.”
