Nam Ji Hyun Is Ready To Captivate As Her Headstrong Character In "100 Days My Prince"

tvN’s upcoming historical romantic comedy “100 Days My Prince” has released its first stills of Nam Ji Hyun!

“100 Days My Prince” is about the love story between a fictional Joseon crown prince suffering from temporary memory loss, and the woman he meets during those 100 days.

Nam Ji Hyun will transform into Hong Shim, the unparalleled, oldest unmarried woman in her village. With her brains and strong will, she has taken on every imaginable job in all eight provinces of Joseon in order to provide for herself and her father.

Living in a time when natural disasters are seen to occur as a result of the deeply rooted resentment and sadness of those unmarried, Hong Shim is ordered to wed in order to put an end to the devastating drought. She unwillingly marries the useless Won Deuk, who is actually crown prince Lee Yool suffering from amnesia (played by EXO’s D.O.). One can only wonder how the highly self-sufficient Hong Shim will live with Won Deuk, who can’t do anything, much less hold down a single job.

The stills portray Hong Shim’s lovable, cheerful, but still tough personality. In one photo, she gently smiles as she stands in a field of bright yellow canola flowers, while she unglamorously hunts with a slingshot in another.

The production crew complimented Nam Ji Hyun and her ability to fully transform into her character. Explaining how the actress was the reason Hong Shim seems even more lovable, they said, “One of Hong Shim’s charms is that she doesn’t back away from hunting on her own or foraging for medicinal herbs for her livelihood. With her careful analysis of her character and detailed acting, Nam Ji Hyun makes us forget about her and only see Hong Shim. While she winds up in an unwanted marriage with Won Deuk, we hope you look forward to how [Hong Shim] changes in various ways during her 100-day romance.”
