Park Bo Young Opens Up About Her Dating Style And Why She Wants To Change It

In a recent interview, actress Park Bo Young revealed her personal approach to romantic relationships and how she hopes to change it in the future!

On August 9, Park Bo Young sat down for an interview with news outlet OSEN about her upcoming film “On Your Wedding Day.” The movie is a romantic story about first love that follows the frustrating saga of Seunghee (played by Park Bo Young), who believes in true love at first sight, and Wooyeon (played by Kim Young Kwang), who believes that his destiny is to be with Seunghee.

Park Bo Young shared that she initially found her character in the film to be off-putting. “When I first read the script, I thought that Seunghee was a bad kid,” she recalled. “I wondered how to portray such a bad kid. But I thought that if I managed to sort out what I considered her bad sides with the director, she’d end up being a character with a new kind of charm.”

“Thankfully,” she went on, “the director took many of my opinions into consideration. Something I learned while working on this film is that men and women are truly different in their viewpoints and in how they interpret things.”

The actress then confessed that her own dating style was very different from her character’s. “In real life, I’m the giving type—I give everything I have to [the person I date]. I cater to and accommodate all of my boyfriend’s preferences,” said Park Bo Young. “I think it’s a matter of personality, but I personally find it easier to cater to my boyfriend’s preferences.”

“However,” she continued with a laugh, “I’ve decided not to to do that anymore. While playing the role of Seunghee, I had the thought that I need to try dating as a bad girl. I don’t know if I’ll be able to become one, but I’m going to give it a try.”
