Park Bo Young Talks About Wanting To Shed "Pocket Girl" Image
Park Bo Young recently talked about her image as a “pocket girl” while doing an interview for her upcoming film “On Your Wedding Day.”
She confessed, “To be honest, I don’t want to awaken people’s protective instincts. I have that ‘pocket girl’ image, and an image that stirs up people’s protective instincts, but I don’t really like that people think they need to protect me.” A pocket girl is someone who is cute and makes people want to put her in their pockets.
She continued, “I think because people see me that way in real life, it’s actually had a tendency of making me think the opposite way. That’s why I liked girls who are powerful and feel a sort of hostility when people come up to save me. I tell them, ‘I can do it.’ I’m small, so people try to help me, but I say, ‘I can do it,’ or ‘I’m strong.'”
Park Bo Young’s new movie “On Your Wedding Day,” which also stars Kim Young Kwang, will premiere on August 22. Check out the trailer here!
