Red Velvet Reveals A Cool First Place Promise For "Power Up"

On the August 9 broadcast of SBS PowerFM’s “2 O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show,” Red Velvet appeared as guests and promised to do a mokbang (a food-eating broadcast) if they get No. 1 with their new song “Power Up.”

Introducing their new song, Irene said, “‘Power Up’ says that if you play hard, you can work hard, too.” Seulgi added, “During an SM concert, we taught the dance to other artists, and everyone did it really well.”

When asked if they have something to promise if they get No. 1, Yeri said, “I haven’t told any of the members, but there’s something that I was thinking of.”

Nervous, the other members said, “Please consult with us before you say anything.” But Yeri went ahead and said it anyway, saying that the they would like it. “It’s summer, so if we are able to get No. 1, I’d like it if we could have bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and sing. It’ll be refreshing for people watching, too.” Relieved, the Red Velvet members smiled and readily accepted the challenge.
