BTS's "Love Yourself: Tear" Becomes Certified Gold By RIAJ

BTS has received a RIAJ gold certification with a Korean album!

On August 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) revealed the group’s third Korean studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” is now officially certified gold. It is their first Korean release to receive an RIAJ certification.

To be certified gold by the RIAJ, single and studio albums must record at least 100,000 units in sales. Platinum certification requires at least 250,000 in album sales while double platinum certification needs at least 500,000.

BTS currently has several RIAJ gold certifications. Their single “Chi, Ase, Namida” and studio album “Face Yourself” is certified platinum while “MIC Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow” is certified double platinum by the RIAJ.
