YG Entertainment Shares Update On Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

YG Entertainment has released an update on its legal action to protect its artists against malicious online posts and more.

On August 14, a source from YG Entertainment said, “We collected evidence related to malicious comments and completed submitting complaints and written accusations, which we have been preparing since February.”

In February, Yang Hyun Suk asked fans to send evidence to the agency and announced that he would be taking action with YG’s legal team. The agency created an account for fans to report malicious comments. After reviewing the evidence submitted until June, the agency included them in the recent complaints and accusations.

YG Entertainment filed 12 reports of malicious rumors as well as defamatory and pornographic posts related to its artists. The agency also filed 57 reports of offensive posts about its artists.

Yang Hyun Suk shared a screenshot of an article about YG’s legal action on his Instagram. He added the hashtags in Korean and English, “Long waited wishes of fans, complaint against persons who wrote malicious and hate comments filed, will take strong and firm action.”
