BTS’s 'Fake Love' Becomes Their 3rd Song To Be Gold Certified By RIAA

BTS’s “Fake Love” has now received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)!

The RIAA has updated its website to show that BTS’s “Fake Love” from their latest album “Love Yourself: Tear” has surpassed 500,000 “units” and therefore been gold certified. A single permanent digital download counts as one unit, and 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams count as one unit.

BTS previously became the first Korean group to achieve gold certification from the RIAA with their track “MIC Drop,” and later also accomplished the feat with “DNA.” PSY was the first Korean artist with a track that was gold certified by the RIAA, which he achieved with “Gangnam Style.”

BTS is currently gearing up to make a comeback on August 24 with their repackaged album “Love Yourself: Answer.” Check out their latest teasers here!
