Choi Tae Joon And Sooyoung To Lead Drama Adaptation Of 'So I Married An Anti-Fan'

Choi Tae Joon and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung will be working together on a fun new drama!

They have been confirmed as the lead actors of “So I Married an Anti-Fan,” an upcoming drama based on a popular novel of the same name. The novel was previously adapted into a Chinese film back in 2016, and starred EXO’s Chanyeol, Mabel Yuan, and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. It was also made into a comic.

As the title suggests, “So I Married an Anti-Fan” is about the hilarious romance between top star Hoo Joon and magazine reporter-turned crazy anti-fan Lee Geun Young. Due to bewildering circumstances, the tenacious Lee Geun Young ends up living under the same roof as her sworn enemy, Hoo Joon.

Choi Tae Joon will be playing Hoo Joon, a world-famous superstar who is the definition of what it means to be tsundere. He seems cold on the outside, but is actually a soft-hearted individual who remembers the pain of his first love.

Sooyoung is taking on the role of Lee Geun Young. While she dreams of being a “Wonder Woman” in the industry, she is usually delegated to all sorts of tedious tasks. She decides to become Hoo Joon’s “official No.1 anti-fan” after her life nearly falls apart because of him.

“So I Married an Anti-Fan” will be directed by Kang Chul Woo of “1% of Anything” and “My Secret Romance,” and will be partially pre-produced.
