Shin Ha Kyun Talks Fondly Of Juniors Lee Kwang Soo and EXO's D.O.

Shin Ha Kyun recently sat down for an interview and talked about his juniors in the acting industry, Lee Kwang Soo and EXO’s D.O.

During the interview, when asked if he had any juniors he cared for, he answered, “Right now, it would be my castmates Lee Kwang Soo and Esom from the movie I’m shooting right now. I’m someone who’s loyal to the present. I can’t change the past, and the future won’t come just yet. Why do you think the present is called ‘present’ [in English]? It’s because it’s a gift.”

When the interviewer commented that it seemed like Lee Kwang Soo seemed to be loved wherever he went, Shin Ha Kyun responded, “His personality is great, too, but he’s amazing at acting. He’s good at everything. He’s not as light-hearted as he is on variety shows. If you see him in real life, you might become flustered. He’s serious with deep thoughts, and he’s actually quite quiet. He’s more of an introverted person. He’s just devoted to staying in-character on variety programs. He’s a good junior in many ways.”

The interviewer then brought up another junior who has acted with Shin Ha Kyun before – EXO’s D.O. They commented that it seemed like Shin Ha Kyun worked well with D.O., in which Shin Ha Kyun remarked, “I think that [we click], but maybe they don’t. I think one’s position is important. The position to listen. I think if the juniors listen well, we just match well together. They must open their ears and close their mouths (Laugh).”

Finally, the interviewer asked if Shin Ha Kyun kept in contact with with his juniors. He responded, “Of course. I contact D.O., asking him things like, ‘Are you doing well with filming?’ D.O. is also pretty quiet and earnest, but he’ll send texts asking how I’m doing. He’ll sometimes use emoticons. I do quite cherish him.”
