GFRIEND Announces Postponement Of Philippines Concert
GFRIEND has announced that their upcoming concert in Manila, Philippines will be postponed.
Their agency Source Music released an official statement on August 18 notifying fans of the postponement. It read, “The ‘2018 Season of GFRIEND in Manila’ concert that was scheduled for August 19 has had to be postponed due to the incident that occurred in Ninoy Aquino International Airport where a plane skidded off the runway.
“Due to the incident, all flights going to and coming from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport have been canceled or delayed, resulting in this unfortunate decision to postpone the concert.
“We want to apologize to all of the Buddies, especially our Buddies from the Philippines, who have been waiting for this concert. The new concert date will be August 26 at 7 p.m. (local time) at the KIA Theater. Thank you.”
On August 16, a Xiamen Airlines plane skidded off the runway at Ninoy Aquino International Airport after attempting to land in bad weather. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. Flights to and from the airport were canceled or delayed following the incident.
