Watch: SEVENTEEN's Vernon Prepares To Become An English Tutor In Preview For New Variety Show

SEVENTEEN’s Vernon is working hard to become a great tutor for an upcoming variety show.

Mnet’s “Tutor” is a new educational variety show where celebrities become private tutors for ordinary students and teach them subjects like English, social studies, and science, and become their life mentors.

Along with Vernon, WJSN’s Luda, PENTAGON’s Hongseok, rapper Microdot, and composer Don Spike have been confirmed for the cast.

In a preview released on August 18, Vernon sat in his studio and prepared for his first lesson. In an interview, he said, “I have to teach someone as a teacher, so I think I’ll have to prepare with a sense of responsibility.”

Vernon looks over some worksheets and ponders how to teach English grammar. He then decided to call his dad, who used to run an English private academy, for some advice.

When his dad answered the phone, he explained to his dad that he was going to be tutoring a student on English grammar and listened to his dad’s advice. After hanging up, Vernon commented, “Hmm. This is hard.”
