Han Go Eun And Her Husband Share The Story Of How They First Met And Got Married After 101 Days

On the August 20 broadcast of SBS’s “Same Bed Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny,” actress Han Go Eun and her husband Shin Young Soo shared the story of how they came to get married 101 days after they met.

Shin Young Soo said, “Before our blind date, as we were exchanging text messages, I had the thought that I must marry this woman. She was so great. Before getting married, I hadn’t really thought about marriage and was living freely, but after meeting Han Go Eun, I thought about tying the knot for the first time. It felt like if I didn’t marry her, I wouldn’t ever get married.”

He revealed that when he arrived to the restaurant on the day they were to meet for the first time, he opened the door and she just said, “I haven’t ordered anything yet,” thinking he was a server.

Han Go Eun clarified that it was the person sitting next to her who said that. She said, “He could’ve corrected us and said that he was Shin Young Soo, but he just stood there, frozen. We stared at each other for about five seconds, and I eventually asked him if he was Shin Young Soo. That’s how we first met.”

He continued, “[On the third day we met], after having drinks at Han Go Eun’s house, I fell asleep. After waking up, the fact that Han Go Eun was next to me made me so nervous. So I told her we should get married, and she said just said okay and that we should eat.”

The actress expressed how thankful she is to her husband. She said, “Before getting married, I thought that the easiest thing in life is to die. Dying is easy; it’s living that’s hard. I lived day to day with the hope that tomorrow would be different. After meeting you, dying became the scariest thing.” Tearing up, Han Go Eun said, “If I die now, I would be so upset. I want to live a long, healthy life.”

She added, “In my own way, I lived to the best of my ability. I’m so happy now that I’ve met my husband, but it also scares me. I feel like if I’m too happy, something is going to take this from me.”

Han Go Eun also expressed her thanks to her father-in-law: “He said that I have a father now, so I can take some weight off my shoulders and lean on my husband. Him saying that meant so much to me. The fact that I have people I can trust and rely on gives me so much energy.”
