AOA's Seolhyun Shares Experience Of Filming Her First Historical Film
AOA’s Seolhyun recently talked about her feelings on filming a historical movie for the first time.
On August 21, Seolhyun made an appearance at a press conference held for the film “The Great Battle.”
At the press conference, Seolhyun stated, “Because it was my first time [acting in a historical drama], I did feel burdened, but I think every moment is nerve-wrecking and a challenge.” She continued, “However, because I was able to [act alongside] the seniors, I also felt greatly reassured.”
“The Great Battle” is a historical film that follows the 88-day battle between General Yang Manchun (played by Jo In Sung) and Tang Taizong’s army of 500 thousand troops in the city of Ansi.
Seolhyun appears as General Yang Manchun’s little sister Baek Ha, who leads a female soldier unit. Baek Ha is a fictional character who did not exist in history.
Seolhyun remarked, “I have more experience playing fictional characters than ones from real life. Therefore, it wasn’t particularly difficult. Because Baek Ha is a character who knows exactly what she wants to do, I thought she was extremely cool.”
The film is set to premiere on September 19.
