BTS Beats Another Record As "IDOL" MV Surpasses 70 Million Views

BTS has broken yet another record!

On August 26 at approximately 7:50 p.m. KST, the music video for the group’s latest title track “IDOL” surpassed the 70 million views milestone. The music video was released at 6 p.m. KST on August 24 along with their repackage album “Love Yourself: Answer,” which means that they were able to accomplish the feat in approximately 49 hours and 50 minutes, or approximately 2 days and 2 hours!

This makes “IDOL” the fastest Korean group music video to reach the milestone. The previous record was also held by BTS, as “Fake Love” had achieved the feat in 3 days and 11 hours.

Although an official count from YouTube has not yet been released, the group amassed an impressive number of views in the first 24 hours as well.
