BTS Says They Feel Honored And Excited About "Love Yourself" World Tour
BTS is gearing up to embark on an epic world tour and the members couldn’t hide their excitement at all of the new experiences they are about to have!
The group held a press conference on August 26 ahead of their “Love Yourself” Seoul concert. The world tour’s starting point is in Seoul, where they performed for a total of 90,000 fans across two days. When asked how they felt about their Seoul concerts, BTS replied, “We held our first concert yesterday and it was such an honor. It’s an honor to be able to hold a solo concert in such a venue. When we first started, we performed at the AX Hall for 2,000 people, and we slowly grew in size till we were able to hold a concert for so many fans. We are grateful and honored to be at this concert with so many ARMYs.”
BTS’s world tour will take them to a total of 16 cities and across 33 performances, the group will delight approximately 790,000 fans. Jungkook said, “The thought of meeting our fans from around the world with a new tour has me feeling exciting and happy. I hope that people who come to our tour will leave feeling happy and excited that they came. I hope we are able to end the tour with both our members and our fans staying safe. We will do our best to ensure that.”
Through the world tour, BTS will become the first Korean singers to hold a concert at New York City’s Citi Field Stadium. On this achievement, Suga said, “I’m so proud, but on the other hand, I still can’t believe that it’s happening. I think it’ll hit me once we’re in the U.S. and we’re rehearsing at the venue. Till then, we’ll just keep practicing hard like we always do. Our tour’s theme is a festival and celebration, so I hope everyone will have fun. We’ll work really hard to prepare for it.”
Not only this, but BTS will be taking their tour to Europe for the first time. V stated, “This is going to be our first European solo concert. We’re really curious to know how our European fans will react to our performances. Since this is our first concerts in Europe, we’ll work hard to prepare and we hope everyone has a good time.”
Jungkook added, “We hoped that if we did our best every year, we’d be able to achieve something great, and we’re happy and honored to have such a great opportunity come to us quicker than we expected. We’ll be performing at the O2 Arena (in London) and we’re so happy about that. We’ll be sure to take care of ourselves and check over our stages to create the best performances possible.”
