Court Delays "MIXNINE" Trial Against YG
After previous reports of Happyface Entertainment’s lawsuit against YG Entertainment for damages, the first date for the pleading has been postponed.
Although the Seoul Central District Court planned to hold the first pleading on August 30, due to a request from YG Entertainment, the pleading did not take place and the date was postponed.
Happyface Entertainment set the motion for the lawsuit back in June as they claimed YG failed to uphold their “MIXNINE” contract. The agency houses the show’s first place finisher Woo Jin Young.
The agency cited numerous reasons for their lawsuit, including unfulfilled contract terms for expenses and overuse of power by big agencies.
In response, YG Entertainment commented, “As an official lawsuit was filed, we will respond by discussing with a legal expert, and through the final decision of the court, we will work to minimize all the misunderstandings.”
