Akdong Musician's Lee Soo Hyun Talks About What Motivated Her To Open YouTube Channel

Akdong Musician’s Lee Soo Hyun recently opened up about why she decided to start making beauty-related content on YouTube.

The singer made an appearance on a recent episode of MBN’s “Cart Show 2” to open up about her life. Boom introduced her as a beauty content creator with over 800,000 subscribers. Lee Soo Hyun currently runs a YouTube account called “Mochipeach,” which has approximately 850,000 subscribers.

On top of being a singer, Lee Soo Hyun has been creating beauty-related content and opening up about her life through her channel. When asked why she decided to create the channel, Lee Soo Hyun candidly replied that she had been prompted by malicious comments she had received in the past. She began by saying, “I have very small eyes, and small facial features in general. In the past, I received many attacks about my looks.”

She continued on to state, “I wanted to show everyone that I was confident about myself and that I loved myself for who I am,” and explained this was the motivation behind creating her YouTube account. Instead of letting the malicious comments about her looks get her down, Lee Soo Hyun decided to channel her energy into sharing more positivity and happiness with others.

Hearing this, MC Lee So Ra praised Lee Soo Hyun for her lovely personality and visuals as she said, “She’s the kind of beauty this generation desires.”
