BTOB's Minhyuk To Enlist As Conscripted Policeman
Minhyuk will be the next BTOB member to enlist.
On August 31, an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports revealed that Minhyuk was accepted as a conscripted policeman after applying and completing an interview. After passing the first round of applications, he was selected in the random draw for the second round. Due to plans to reduce and phase out conscripted policeman by 2023, only the minimum number of applicants are accepted.
A source from Cube Entertainment said, “Lee Minhyuk got accepted as a conscripted policeman. However, the specific plans for his enlistment have not been confirmed yet.”
Having been accepted to serve as a conscripted policeman, he will be required to enlist within five to seven months. It appears likely that he might be enlisting around the same time as Highlight’s Yang Yoseob who was recently accepted as a conscripted policeman.
BTOB’s Eunkwang enlisted approximately two weeks ago. Prior to his enlistment, Minhyuk was randomly selected as the new leader.
Minhyuk debuted as a member of BTOB in 2012 and has acted in dramas including “Unexpected Heroes,” “Nightmare Teacher,” and “Sweet, Savage Family.”
