Han Dong Geun's Agency Issues Official Apology For Drunk Driving Incident

On September 5, News1 reported that police had caught singer Han Dong Geun driving under the influence of alcohol earlier this summer.

The incident took place on July 30 at 11 p.m. KST in the Bangbae-dong neighborhood in Seoul. When caught by the police, Han Dong Geun admitted to the offence and cooperated with further inquiries that took place on September 5.

Subsequently, Han Dong Geun’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, released a full statement.

“Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment. We sincerely apologize on behalf of our artist regarding his DUI incident. Han Dong Geun is reflecting deeply on what he has done wrong and will be halting all activities to take time for this self-reflection. He plans to cooperate with all further inquiries in the police investigation.

“We are also responsible for not managing our artist properly and allowing this incident to occur. We apologize to the fans, who have been concerned and upset by this news, and we will work on giving regular education about drunk driving and its dangers to all our artists at the agency.

“Once again, we bow our heads to say that we are sorry. Thank you.”

Han Dong Geun debuted in 2014 and first rose to prominence in the music industry with the song “Making a New Ending for this Story.”
