Chanyeol was at the airport on September 5 after taking a trip to Shanghai to attend a Tommy Hilfiger fashion show. He was crowded by a group of people, and his slipper became ripped when it was stepped on. He wrote on Instagram to address the issue that evening, and included a photo of his ripped slipper.

His post is as follows:

“I hope that all the fans who come to greet me at the airport will please maintain order. The airport is a place that isn’t just used by us, it’s also used by others such as passengers, people who are waiting for their precious family members, and young children. A situation arose today in which someone’s toe could have been damaged if something went wrong, rather than my slipper. The people who were guarding me kept saying not to push, but order was not maintained at all. It’s a relief that no one was injured, but I’m writing this because I think that this cannot continue. I hope that you will take care in the future so that no one is hurt in public spaces like the airport. I’m grateful for your constant love, and I’ll become someone who can repay that love.”
