Wanna One Wins At 2018 National Brand Awards
Wanna One was awarded at the 2018 National Brand Awards.
On September 5, the 2018 National Brand Conference was held at the Council Chamber inside of the National Assembly Building.
Wanna One received the National Brand Grand Prize for the culture category. All 11 members attended the ceremony to receive the award and they were congratulated by fans and National Assembly members.
Wanna One’s leader Yoon Ji Sung said, “It’s an honor to receive an award in front of such great people. There are many people who work hard for Wanna One, and I’m sincerely always thankful. I sincerely thank the fans who love Wanna One. We will improve and raise awareness of [Korean culture], as is fitting for the grand prize winner in the culture category.”
The National Brand Awards, which held its third annual ceremony this year, recognizes individuals and companies who made an impact on the nation’s image. It was created to spread a positive image of Korea to the world and to raise the national brand value.
Other winners included violinist Jung Kyung Hwa for the arts category and skeleton gold medalist Yoon Sung Bin won for the sports category.
Wanna One is currently working on an album with the goal of making a comeback sometime during the second half of this year.
