Song Hye Kyo And Park Bo Gum's Drama May Be Going To Cuba To Film, Not Spain
Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum could be heading to Cuba instead of Spain to film their new tvN Wednesday-Thursday drama “Encounter” (formerly known as “Boyfriend”).
The drama started filming last weekend in Seoul, and the actors and staff are now preparing to go overseas. Though their destination was originally set for Granada, Spain, recent reports are pointing to Cuba as the most likely shoot location.
A source from the drama production said that it’s not 100 percent confirmed. “We are planning on going to Cuba to film, although we still have much to be worked out locally. It’s difficult to say that it has been confirmed, because there are still matters that are up in the air regarding filming there, including the fact that we don’t yet have permission to film in certain places. We are taking many things in consideration at this moment in time, but it is true that it’s very likely we’ll be going to Cuba.” Moreover, according to the report by Sports Donga, the script for the drama already has set the foreign setting of the drama to Cuba.
Once the final decision is made, Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum will be leaving around the end of this month or early next month.
“Encounter” is the beautiful, fateful love story between Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), a man who leads a normal life and finds happiness in everyday things, and Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo), who has never once been able to live her own life as the daughter of a politician and former wife to a chaebol. When Jin Hyuk and Soo Hyun meet by chance, their entire lives are shaken up.
“Encounter” will be airing in November following the conclusion of Seo In Guk’s upcoming drama “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes,” which is a remake of the 2002 Japanese drama.
