Girls' Generation-Oh!GG Shares Thoughts On Their Unit Name + Upcoming Variety Show

Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG sat down to talk to their fans about returning to the music scene as a unit!

Members Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and YoonA held a casual house party-themed live broadcast on September 5, along with Hyoyeon’s and Yuri’s dogs Venus and DooE.

During the broadcast, the unit discussed their activities together, such as their reality show they originally filmed in June.

On “Girls For Rest,” YoonA explained how they got to vacation in France and how fans will be able to see what a healing experience it was for the five idols. Hyoyeon added, “The weather was really nice.”

When asked to name one thing they liked, Sunny revealed, “I liked the sea,” while Hyoyeon commented, “For me, it was the harbor. I think we’re all thinking along the same lines.”

They also shared their thoughts on their unit name “Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG” and their new release “Lil’ Touch.”

“I didn’t think that Oh!GG would actually become our name,” Hyoyeon expressed. “I was taken aback at first, but there were a lot of people who said it was really catchy the more you hear it.” Yuri said, “I think it’s a really witty name.”

As for their title track “Lil’ Touch,” the members revealed how they were initially worried if they would be able to dance to it because the song seems very fast-paced.

“Please love ‘Lil’ Touch’ and ‘Fermata’ and our new unit Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG,” Yuri concluded.
