BTS And Shaun Top Weekly Gaon Charts + TWICE And SEVENTEEN Certified Platinum
On September 6, Gaon revealed chart results for the week from August 26 through September 1. Also announced were the newly certified albums for August.
SEVENTEEN’s “You Make My Day” and TWICE’s “Summer Nights” are now certified platinum with over 250,000 units sold each.
Other albums that were certified earlier in the year include GOT7’s “Eyes on You,” NCT’s “NCT 2018 Empathy,” EXO-CBX’s “Blooming Days,” and TWICE’s “What is Love?” Wanna One’s “0+1=1 (I PROMISE YOU)” is certified triple platinum and “1÷χ=1 (UNDIVIDED)” is certified double platinum. BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” received million certification.For the weekly results, BTS’s “IDOL” rose to the top of the digital and download charts. Shaun’s “Way Back Home,” Red Velvet’s “Power Up,” and BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” remained strong in the top five. 10cm’s “Mattress” rose to No. 4.
“Young” by EXO’s Baekhyun and Loco made a strong entrance at No. 2 on the download chart, and “Mattress” rose to No. 3. BTS’s B-side tracks “I’m Fine” and “Euphoria” placed No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. “Way Back Home” remains on top of the streaming chart, and “IDOL” rose to No. 2. Girl groups make up the rest of the top five with “Power Up” in No. 3, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” in No. 4, and TWICE’s “Dance the Night Away” in No. 5.On the album chart recording physical album shipments, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer” remains at No. 1. It is followed by Shinhwa’s “Heart,” Red Velvet’s “Summer Magic,” Jin Longguo’s “Friday n Night,” and CROSS GENE’s “ZERO.” “IDOL” maintained its reign on the social chart, which is a result of data from YouTube, Twitter, and YinYueTai. “YOUNG” came in at No. 2, and NCT Dream’s “We Go Up” entered at No. 5.
