MOMOLAND and Eric Nam are in Singapore for the HallyuPopFest 2018 and made an appearance during the media conference for a short interview. Check out the exclusive interview below:
MOMOLAND:
Since it’s your first time in Singapore, what are some thoughts about the country so far?
JooE: I heard that it’s clean and green.
[On the subject of travelling] I also want to visit Paris, among all the destinations that we went to in our music videos.
What are the things/food you are most interested in trying in Singapore?
Nancy: I want to try McSpicy! (McSpicy is a spicy chicken burger and a special menu item found in McDonald’s Singapore.)
What hypes you guys up before going on stage?
MOMOLAND: Fans dancing and singing along to our songs!
ERIC NAM:
How did your song “FLOAT” end up being chosen for the movie, “Hotel Transylvania 3”?
Eric: “FLOAT” was initially supposed to be included in my latest album, but my producers and I felt that it didn’t fit the vibe of the album.
The producers of “Hotel Transylvania 3” happened to hear the song and felt that it suited the movie’s cruise theme and decided to feature the song.
Any thoughts on producing a new English track?
Eric: It really depends on the opportunities but I think that the next album would have a track that has both Korean and English versions.
Pick one: hosting or singing?
Eric: I enjoy performing the most; I love singing on stage and it’s my passion. Hosting comes easy to me.
Describe Singapore in 3 words?
Eric: Clean, beautiful, chilli crab.
What are your thoughts on being the go-to host for Hollywood celebrities in Korea?
Eric: Initially starstruck, like, oh my god, Iron Man. However, I’ve gotten used to it and I do enjoy having conversations with them!
What are your favorite places to visit in Singapore?
Eric: Marina Bay Sands! (He is the current model for Marina Bay Sands.) Also, Orchard Road. I love walking on the streets and exploring.
