YG Entertainment Responds To Controversy Surrounding SECHSKIES's Kang Sung Hoon

SECHSKIES member Kang Sung Hoon has been swept up in controversy over various matters.

Kang Sung Hoon was scheduled to have a solo fan meeting in Taiwan in early September. The event was organized by Kang Sung Hoon, his fanclub Hoony World, and local organizers. However, the fan meeting was canceled, and the tickets have not been refunded properly.

In addition, Hoony World is being accused of embezzling fan donations for a video screening event, and fans are speculating that Kang Sung Hoon is dating the moderator of Hoony World.

Kang Sung Hoon shared a post on the Hoony World fan cafe in response. He denied the girlfriend rumors and said regarding the Taiwan fan meeting, “We tried so hard to make it happen for three months, and I am nothing but apologetic to all of you for the cancellation.”

He continued on to explain that the Taiwan organizers lied in the process, so the Taiwanese government rejected the request for visa issuance. “I will pay attention to this problem until the end and will make sure to resolve it, so don’t be troubled by it. I will let you know separately when it’s resolved, so please wait.”

YG Entertainment commented regarding the incident, “We express deep regret on the unfortunate incident of Kang Sung Hoon’s solo fan meeting. Kang Sung Hoon has independently run his solo fan meetings until now. However, YG will look closely into all matters and work to resolve the issues as soon as possible so no one will receive harm.”
