Son Ye Jin Talks About Her Efforts In Maintaining Her Appearance
On September 13, Son Ye Jin held an interview ahead of her upcoming movie “Negotiation.”
The film is about a negotiation between police negotiator Ha Chae Yoon (played by Son Ye Jin) and Min Tae Goo (played by Hyun Bin), the criminal behind a huge hostage situation in Thailand.
When it was mentioned that fans and viewers continue to rave about her beauty, the actress commented, “Time is fair to everyone. I have a job that specifically requires me to maintain my best condition in terms of physical appearance. Compared to the past, I do have more wrinkles, and I do feel my age.”
She continued, “Us actresses talk about it all the time, saying like, ‘Aren’t my wrinkles excessive?’ It’s very natural. Exercising and going to the dermatologist are all part of the process.” She joked, “I may not be able to have the face of a twenty year old, but I hope technology develops soon.”
She also talked about her feelings on competing against other films that premiere this fall. “Today’s friend can be tomorrow’s enemy. I do feel anxious, but it’s something that you can never escape from if you’re an actor, so I always try to just focus on how my acting should be shown to audiences.”
Son Ye Jin added, “Acting is something that I do because I enjoy it,” explaining that viewer satisfaction is her second priority. “The reason why I keep acting anyway is because I thankfully still have passion for it.
Son Ye Jin’s new film “Negotiation” will premiere on September 19.
