Jun So Min Confirmed To Star Opposite Lee Sang Yeob And Kim Ji Suk In New Drama

Jun So Min will be joining Lee Sang Yeob and Kim Ji Suk in a new tvN drama!

On September 17, the actress’s agency confirmed that she would be starring in the upcoming drama “Top Star Yoo Baek” (literal title). A representative stated, “Jun So Min will be appearing in ‘Top Star Yoo Baek’ in the role of Oh Kang Soon, the female lead.”

“Top Star Yoo Baek” will tell the story of a former idol and A-list actor (played by Kim Ji Suk) who is banished to a remote island after causing some major trouble. The drama will follow Yoo Baek as he adapts to his new surroundings and eventually strikes up a romance with Oh Kang Soon, a woman who seems to have nothing in common with him.

Jun So Min recently cut her hair into a bob in order to play the role of Oh Kang Soon, a hardworking young woman who doesn’t care about anything aside from her studies, her work as a diver, or the supermarket she runs. Unlike the worldly and sophisticated Yoo Baek, Oh Kang Soon barely even knows how to use a cell phone.

The drama will also mark the reunion of Jun So Min and Lee Sang Yeob, who appeared together on the SBS variety show “Running Man” earlier this year. Lee Sang Yeob will be playing the role of Choi Ma Dol, a friendly and optimistic young ship captain.

“Top Star Yoo Baek” is currently scheduled to premiere in November of this year.
