Watch: Lee Min Ki Recognizes Seo Hyun Jin Despite Her Changing Faces In "The Beauty Inside" Preview

Lee Min Ki, with his inability to recognize faces, and Seo Hyun Jin’s face-changing condition are a wacky match made in heaven for “The Beauty Inside.”

The preview begins by showing off Han Se Gae’s (played by Seo Hyun Jin) glamorous life as a top actress. She shoots a cosmetics commercial, where she enchantingly says, “Try having it, unchanging beauty,” which she scoffs at later. Han Se Gae then runs to the bathroom on a plane, when she realizes it’s the day her face transforms into someone else’s. She explains, “Once a month, I live as someone else.”

Seo Do Jae (played by Lee Min Ki) introduces himself as the director of strategy for an airlines. To Han Se Gae’s surprise, he recognizes who she is in her transformed state. He remarks to someone else, “She seems like someone else to me. She was really strange.”

When Han Se Gae finds out that Seo Do Jae is unable to differentiate faces, she asks him, “How much can you differentiate? Do you recognize your family?” He answers, “When they suddenly change clothes or their hairstyle, I can’t recognize them.” He comments, “Let’s meet again. I’ll recognize you,” while Han Se Gae thinks, “My heart is beating.”

“The Beauty Inside” will air its first episode on October 1 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
