Go Soo And Seo Ji Hye Perform Surgery Together In "Heart Surgeons"

Go Soo and Seo Ji Hye have transformed into cardiothoracic surgeons for the drama “Heart Surgeons.”

“Heart Surgeons” is about surgeons who are put in a dilemma when they have to decide between their duty as doctors and their own personal history. The production team behind “Defendant” will be creating the drama.

Go Soo will be playing cardiothoracic surgeon Park Tae Soo, who comes from a poor background and does his best to stick to his principles as a doctor to save his patient. His mother is in need of a heart transplant.

Seo Ji Hye will be taking on the role of Yoon Soo Yeon, a cardiothoracic surgeon who is the daughter of the director of Tae San Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Korea. Though she has a congenital heart disease, she is proud to be a doctor who saves people’s lives.

In the photos, Go Soo and Seo Ji Hye meet in surgery. Both carefully and seriously operate, taking care to check minute details. Seo Ji Hye is also seen performing CPR on a patient as he is wheeled to the hospital.

It was reported that ahead of filming, the two actors observed surgeries and practiced techniques to prepare themselves. A source stated, “Thanks to Go Soo and Seo Ji Hye’s thorough preparation, they perfectly transformed into cardiothoracic surgeons during filming. They amazed the production team by perfectly pulling off medical scenes.”

“Heart Surgeons” will air its first episode on September 27 at 10 p.m. KST, and will be available on Viki.
