"The Great Battle" Reaches 3 Million Moviegoers In An Impressive Amount Of Time

Period action film “The Great Battle” is seeing a lot of success at the box office!

The Korean Film Council estimated that, according to their data, “The Great Battle” sold 3,120,905 tickets as of September 26, 8 a.m. KST. That means the film surpassed 3 million moviegoers within 8 days of its release.

Of all the Korean films released in 2018, “The Great Battle” is the second-fastest to reach this milestone, after “Along With the Gods 2.” Among movies released during the Chuseok holidays, “The Great Battle” set a new record, surpassing 2012’s “Masquerade,” which reached 3 million moviegoers 11 days after its release. “The Great Battle” also beat “Confidential Assignment” (2017) and “Berlin” (2013), which were released during the Seollal (Lunar New Year) holidays.

“The Great Battle” stars Jo In Sung, Park Sung Woong, AOA’s Seolhyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, and more in an epic battle between the kingdom of Goguryeo and the Tang dynasty at Ansi Fortress.
