Watch: DIA And UNI.T Go Head-To-Head With "Weekly Idol" Dance Challenges

On the September 26 Chuseok special broadcast of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol,” girl groups DIA and UNI.T appeared as guests.

At the beginning of the show, host Kim Shin Young settled the matter of seniority with the two groups. She said, “What’s unclear about these two groups is that the UNI.T members as individuals are all industry seniors to DIA, but as the group UNI.T, they are juniors to DIA.”

The hosts said, “We should go by teams today.” UNI.T’s Yang Jiwon said in mock protest, “Is that so?” but good-naturedly agreed.

Yebin, who is a member of both UNI.T and DIA, stood sandwiched in the middle, and though the hosts briefly teased her, saying she had to choose one of the groups, Yebin did her best for both throughout the show.

The two girl groups then went head-to-head with the signature dance challenges of “Weekly Idol,” the winners to be judged by three members of panel: DIA and UNI.T’s two choreographers and the manager of both groups.

First up was the Rollercoaster dance challenge:

UNI.T experienced some troubles during the dance challenge, but explained that it’s only been two days since they’ve learned the choreography and one day since everything was put together.

In the end, the judges gave DIA the victory with a two-to-one vote.

Next up was the double speed dance:

UNI.T, after winning rock-paper-scissors, decided to go first, because Yebin would be tired if she had to do their dance at double speed after doing DIA’s.

After seeing both performances, the judges gave UNI.T the victory, also with a two-to-one vote.
