Han Chae Young To Star In New MBC Drama Opposite Bae Soo Bin

Han Chae Young and Bae Soo Bin will be starring together in a new MBC weekend drama!

On October 1, the producers of the upcoming drama “A Pledge to God” (also known as “Promise to God”) announced, “Han Chae Young and Bae Soo Bin have been confirmed to appear in the leading roles.”

“A Pledge to God” is a melodrama about two married couples that choose to put their ethics and morals aside as they make a bold choice in order to save the lives of their dying children.

Han Chae Young will be playing the role of Seo Ji Young, an anchorwoman and talk show host who is also fiercely devoted to her children. Bae Soo Bin will star as Kim Jae Wook, the heir to a large architecture firm who is willing to lay everything on the line and stand up against his family in order to protect his children.

“A Pledge to God” marks Han Chae Young’s first drama role in four years—the actress’s last small-screen appearance was in 2014, when she starred in the drama “Beautiful Man.” Meanwhile, Bae Soo Bin most recently appeared in SBS’s “The Good Witch” earlier this year.

MBC’s “A Pledge to God” is scheduled to premiere on November 24 at 9 p.m. KST, following the end of “Hide and Seek.”
