Han Seung Yeon And Shin Hyun Soo Reveal Whether They've Had Fateful Encounters
Han Seung Yeon and Shin Hyun Soo talked about traveling alone and making fateful connections.
On October 11, Channel A’s “Twelve Nights” held a press conference ahead of its upcoming broadcast. Cast member Han Seung Yeon, Shin Hyun Soo, Jang Hyun Sung, Ye Soo Jung, and producing-director Jung Hyun Soo were in attendance.
“Twelve Nights” is about an aspiring photographer and an aspiring dancer who spend twelve nights together over three different trips.
When asked whether she had ever met any fateful encounters with someone as her character does in the drama, Han Seung Yeon shared, “If I ever fatefully met someone while traveling, I don’t think I would be here. Rather than coincidentally meeting and becoming connected, I’m the type of person who connects with those who become my people.”
She continued, “It hasn’t been long since I started traveling by myself. I still haven’t gone abroad for personal reasons. I think it’s refreshing though. I feel as if all the difficult things get small like specks of dust. My agency also encourages me [to travel].”
Shin Hyun Soo commented, “When I decided to appear in ‘Twelve Nights,’ I went on a solo trip to Japan. My character is Japanese-Korean, so I spontaneously wandered around Japan. I didn’t meet any fateful encounters. I’m not someone that’s very brave, so I wasn’t able to meet anyone without hesitation. Traveling is meaningful when you’re on the trip, but I think it gets even better when you return to your daily life and dwell on the happy memories.”
“Twelve Nights” will air its first episode on October 12 at 11 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki!
