Rapper BewhY Confirmed For Hip Hop Survival Show 'Kill Bill'

Rapper BewhY will be appearing on upcoming hip hop variety show “Kill Bill.”

BewhY previously won the fifth season of Mnet’s “Show Me the Money” with his unrivaled rapping and stage presence. After being crowned winner, BewhY performed on the stages of countless music festivals and award ceremonies, and was chosen as the No. 1 pick for university festival performers.

BewhY gave an official statement regarding his addition to the show, and said, “Many people might think that going for the Billboard [charts] is too aspirational, but I want to say that the ‘Kill Bill’ program isn’t just aiming for Billboard. Billboard is merely in the course. There are people in Korea who do music that only we can do, and I want to show that we can be acknowledged worldwide. We are very proud of Korean hip hop. I want to approach [the show] with the mindset of wanting to display a music that’s most like me.”

“Kill Bill” is a variety survival program where seven artists will compete with their performances. Each episode will reveal competitive performances that have the scale and quality of a hip hop concert. The final winner chosen through this process will collaborate with a global artist and take on Billboard charts.

Dok2 was previously confirmed for the program, while Canadian rapper Drake is currently in talks to join the show.

“Kill Bill” is slated to premiere sometime in January of next year via MBC Music, MBC Every1, and MBC Drama.
